One of Denver’s oldest residential neighborhoods, but newest designated historic cultural district is La Alma Lincoln Park. The driving factor for this was to preserve the history of the many important Hispanic/Latino people who lived here that had influenced the powerful Chicano movement in the mid twentieth century. La Alma Lincoln Park is bounded by West Colfax Avenue, Speer Boulevard, West Sixth Avenue, and the South Platte River.
