After 75 years in City Park West, Jerry’s Nut House has officially entered a new era.
The beloved, family-run snack supplier has downsized its operations at the corner of N. Humboldt & E. 21st Ave to make room for two new retail additions, most notably, a newly opened Ace Hardware.
We stopped by this weekend, and honestly, it exceeded expectations.
The store is much larger than it looks from the outside, and the selection will definitely elevate the neighborhood.
Even if you’re not in need of household supplies, it’s a solid place to grab a quick snack or drink without heading all the way down to Safeway.
Owner, Stephen Julia, saw an opportunity to revitalize the space while preserving the legacy of his family’s business, which started in 1948. After securing unanimous rezoning approval, construction moved quickly, and now, both old and new are thriving under one roof.
Jerry’s Nut House continues operating from a smaller footprint in the rear, while the front brings new retail energy to one of Denver’s most walkable neighborhoods.
There’s also a 1,600-square-foot space still available for lease, located across from the hospital, ideal for a coffee shop, restaurant, or boutique. Off-site parking is available nearby.
This isn’t a paid post, we just think it’s worth celebrating when a local business reinvents itself and adds something meaningful to the community.
City Park West just got a little stronger.
