Park Hill Park

The City is officially kicking off the visioning process for Park Hill Park, the long-contested former golf course at 35th & Colorado Blvd, and they want your input.

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Denver Parks & Recreation is hosting a Youth & Family Field Day at City of Axum Park (3200 N. Birch St) from 4:30–6:30 PM. There will be races, rock climbing, basketball, slacklining, and more — but also a big opportunity to help shape one of the most talked-about open spaces in the city.

The goal is a long-term Park Hill Park Vision Framework — a community-driven blueprint that guides future programming, design, and amenities.

Over the next 9 months, the City will gather input from residents and stakeholders to build out a plan that could include trails, nature play, sports fields, picnic areas, outdoor adventure features, and more.

Whether you’re a neighbor, a kid with a jump shot, or someone who just wants to walk their dog in peace, your voice matters.

After years of debate and lawsuits, the real planning begins.
