Another old church site is headed for a new chapter, this time, along Colorado Boulevard.
The Universal Church was demolished last year, clearing the way for redevelopment. Now, concept plans have been submitted for a 22-unit townhome project on the site.
The proposal calls for three-story townhomes with 44 garage spaces, designed to blend with the surrounding Hilltop neighborhood.
McKinnon & Associates LLC is leading the project, with Raptor Civil serving as the civil engineer.
This updated plan replaces a larger 54-unit proposal that faced neighborhood opposition back in 2023, scaling things back while still adding much-needed housing along one of Denver’s busiest corridors.
