Nashville hot chicken chain Blazing Bird, is expanding with two new locations expected to open by summer.
The first is at 9998 W Colfax Ave in Lakewood, near the intersection of Colfax and Kipling.
The unit, previously home to Kolache House Bakery, has been vacant for several years. Blazing Bird hopes to reactivate the space and bring traffic back to the small retail strip.
The second location is at 550 Broadway in Denver, in the Broadway retail plaza at Broadway and E 6th Ave.
It replaces a former Noodles & Company that closed earlier this year.
With these additions, Blazing Bird will operate seven locations across the Denver metro area.
