4000 Qubec Street

The Partner Colorado Credit Union announced the closure of its Central Park branch at 4000 Quebec St., effective May 3, 2024, due to safety concerns exacerbated by the adjacent hotel that was converted into a homeless shelter in December 2023.

The credit unit currently operates six other branches throughout the Denver metro.

The credit union cited a rising number of safety-related incidents, including a double homicide, as a significant factor in their decision. This situation has highlighted the broader issue of how the housing crisis in Denver is affecting neighborhood safety and the challenges of balancing community services with security.
