The popular L&L Hawaiian Barbecue franchise just signed a 5-year lease for a brand new store in the Whole Foods plaza at 2317-2333 30th Street.
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue was founded in Honolulu in 1976 and has since expanded to 211 locations throughout Hawaii and the Western United States.
Currently, L&L has one location in Colorado Springs, two locations in Aurora, one location slated for 575 Lincoln Street in Denver and one location slated for Boulder.
What is Hawaiian Barbecue? According to L&L, the essential components of a traditional Hawaiian Barbeque plate consist of two servings of rice, one serving of macaroni salad, 1 serving of a fresh local catch, 1 chicken entrée and 1 serving of an alternate protein.
L&L will take over Unit 2E in-between Elements Massage and Fast Frame. Other popular retailers within the plaza consist of Wine & Spirits, Car Toys and of course, Whole Foods.
L&L is expected to open its doors in the first half of 2023 and should be a nice compliment to the Boulder food scene.
