Maria Empanada based out of Denver signed a 5-year lease to occupy a 1,644 square foot retail space at the intersection of W 44th Avenue & Lowell Blvd in Berkeley.

Maria Empanada was founded by Lorena Cantarovici in 2013 who immigrated from Argentina over 20 years ago. Since 2013, Lorena has built a regionally known brand with four locations throughout Denver.

Considering the lease was just signed, Maria Empanada isn't expected to move in until March 2022. In the meantime, you can stop by one of the locations at 1298 S Broadway Ave, 2501 Dallas Street, 950 n Broadway or 1700 Platte Street.
