The owner of the Regal Continental has proposed redeveloping the movie theater into two four-story apartment buildings, totaling 417 homes.

The movie theater shut down last year after Regal Cinemas' parent company, Cineworld, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announced the closure of 39 movie theaters across the US.
