Canyon View Apartments
A new residential development by Crossbeam Capital is set to be constructed on 5.06 acres situated west of U.S. Highway 93 and north of Golden Gate Canyon Road, adjacent to the Golden Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care.
The site for the new development has a complex past, including use as a construction yard and batch plant, contributing to soil contamination issues such as arsenic found during environmental assessments.
Through the efforts of SEH and Partner Engineering and Science, Inc., a comprehensive cleanup plan under the Colorado Department of Public Health’s Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCUP) was implemented, ensuring safe redevelopment. This plan aimed to ensure that the site met health and safety standards, allowing for its transformation. The cleanup efforts were recently celebrated with the completion of the VCUP, marking a milestone in preparing the site for its new phase.
Over the next 14 months, the Canyon View Apartments will materialize into three buildings housing a total of 104 units. This development is not just about adding housing options; it's about creating essential workforce housing to meet the growing needs of Golden’s residents. The project promises to enhance the community’s landscape and breathe new life into this historic area. Join the journey as Golden transforms, embracing its past while building a sustainable future.
According to the site plans, the project will include three three-story buildings comprising a total of 104 residential units. This mix consists of 6 studio apartments averaging 420 square feet each, 65 one-bedroom apartments averaging 720 square feet each, and 33 two-bedroom apartments averaging 1,080 square feet each.
The exterior of the structure will feature electrometric stucco, wood-grain aluminum siding, aluminum-clad windows, and black brick.
The development of Canyon View Apartments signifies a major advancement in Golden's dedication to sustainable development and community improvement. This project transforms a formerly contaminated site into a vibrant residential area, reinforcing Golden's role as a key community along the Front Range. Construction is currently in the early phases, with completion expected by late 2025. Stay tuned for future updates!
